19th Annual Business Recognition Dinner Awards - Oct. 21, 2009

On October 21, 2009, the St. Stephen Area Chamber of Commerce held their 19th Annual Business Recognition Dinner at the Milltown Legion, hosted by President Shelley McKeeman.

Everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner followed by an awards ceremony and guest speaker for the evening, David Garcelon, Executive Chef with the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto.

The following awards were presented:

Jordan Craig, Youth Economic Development Officer from Enterprise Charlotte presented Erin Shea, Registered Massage Therapist and Shane McGregor, McGregor Construction, Carpentry and Cabinetry with the Young Entrepreneur Award.

Danielle Sullivan with CBDC presented Shawna Lambert, Sea of Tranquility Day Spa with the Female Entrepreneur Award.

Geoff Knight, Vice President, St. Stephen Area Chamber of Commerce, presented the New Business of the Year Award to Laura Porter Law Office.

Jason Rideout, 2nd Vice President, St. Stephen Area Chamber of Commerce, announced Dave Dinsmore, of Dave Dinsmore Web Design was the Business of the Year Award recipient. His sister Susan McKnight accepted the award on his behalf.

The evening finished off with guest speaker David Garcelon, Executive Chef with the Fairmont Royal York. Everyone enjoyed David’s presentation on life as an executive chef at one of the largest hotels in Canada. He spoke about his rooftop herb garden and beehives and other interesting aspects of his job.
